Week Notes 002

weekNotes

🗓️ // 041324-041924

I can't believe I'm writing one of these again already. I feel like I just wrote my very first one a few hours ago. Alas, here we go again...

  • There's a new farmer's market in town. They recently just started so it's pretty small but there's a list of Coming Soon vendors, so I'm pretty excited about that. This was on Sunday and I've been meaning to write something up on my main blog. I've added it to the growing backlog of Blog posts I still have to write and curate.
  • Second week being in between projects at work. Slowly getting antsy.
    • The opportunity that I was exploring last week did not pan out. It was a bit disappointing since I was looking forward to working with GenAI, but such is life.
    • Due to the above, explored a second opportunity this week that I'm waiting to hear feedback on.
    • Third opportunity to hear about on Monday.

  • Got an invite to the new app in town, Airchat. I'm mainly a consumer at the moment. Not sure if I'll be participating in voice conversations just yet. Here's a TechCrunch article about the app.
  • Signed up for Scribbles' Lifetime Plan + Micro.blog's 1-year plan
  • Physical Therapy #2 and #3 this week. My back is slowly starting to feel better but it's still not 100%
  • Had to change my CampSnap discount code this week. Click on the link if you're still interested in getting a CS with the updated discount added during checkout.
  • 🤕 Total migraine count for the week: 1/7
    • The migraine I had this week left me incapacitated for the entire day. One of the worst ones I've had in awhile.

📚 Reading

  • Started reading What Lies in the Woods by Kate Alice Marshall for my book club. I always have a hard time when it's my turn to choose a book. So far, so good.
  • Finished book 11 of 2024 - A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas and gave it a 3.5/5 stars
  • Still listening to A Woman in Me by Britney Spears on Spotify audiobook. I still have 1hr, 35m left

📺 Watching

  • Finished The Dropout on Hulu. This show was wild. I remember when this was happening in real time and hearing about it in the news. Here's an article that was basically the start of the Theranos downfall.
  • Continuing watching Season 2 of Physical: 100 on Netflix
  • Watched Sixteen Candles (1984) on Netflix since it looks like it'll be going away soon (3.5/5)

🎧 Listening

  • Taylor Swift's new album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology came out. The first half came out at EST midnight, and then she did a surprise release of the second half around 2AM EST. Obviously will be on repeat until I find my favorite track(s).
