Week Notes 001

weekNotes

🗓️ // 040624-041224

First time trying this out. Let's see how long I can keep this up, and if I do... it'd be nice to see how I can evolve it over time.

  • Spent the weekend attempting to clean and put things back to where they're supposed to be around the house after getting our floors done. It feels a lot like moving into a new house, and unpacking overwhelms me.
  • I was probably one of the very few who didn't go outside to see the solar eclipse. I was in too much pain (from my back) to make any attempt. Thankfully, I had experienced something like it back in 2017 so I didn't feel like I missed out too much.
  • Cocoa went to the dentist and thankfully there were no complications.
  • I finally got around to seeing a physical therapist for my back. Experienced cupping therapy for the very first time. Now I have to go see them 2x a week. I'm hoping I don't have to do it for long.
  • First month with MB, which means first time participating in the Photo Challenge. It's been fun going through the archives or snapping new photos to go alongside with the theme of the day. Super surprised but glad that my word got chosen for Day 11
  • Being in-between projects mean lots of coffee chats with various people and leaders to hear about what's out there so I can figure out what I want to do next, and what product I want to work on. Impostor syndrome always surfaces during this point of my life.
  • 1 year with Bluesky. I haven't been as active on there but an attempt is being made to maybe start using it again. Cross posting, maybe?
  • Removed the connection for my Notes page with MB. I’m going to just turn that into a digital post-it note type page for now.
  • 🤕 Total migraine count for the week: 2/7

📚 Reading

  • Continuing listening to A Woman in Me by Britney Spears on Spotify audiobook. I rented the book via Libby but her writing is just so difficult to read that I'd rather listen to it. As someone who grew up at the same time as Britney, it's interesting to hear about her side of the story of how things played out vs. what I read in the news.
  • Started reading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I had no idea what this book was about prior to starting it but I kept hearing about it in the Fourth Wing circle so I figured I'd give it a try.

📺 Watching

  • We have a few episodes left of The Dropout on Hulu but didn't get a chance to watch any this week
  • LC randomly put on Obsessed (2009) with Beyonce while I was reading on the couch so I ended up kind of watching it too. It's been awhile since I've seen it so I had forgotten about it (3.5/5)
  • After that, we also re-watched Run (2020) with Sarah Paulson. I remember liking it the first time around and thinking how messed up the ending was (4/5)
  • Started watching Season 2 of Physical: 100 on Netflix

OK, that’s it. Also, as a side note: it feels weird doing a week recap on a Friday instead of a Saturday, but it is what it is.
